Fly Tying Thursday 1st February 2024
Great to see so many of you tying last night.
We meet again next Thursday 1st Feb (I’ve tried very hard to get the date correct this week….) for Fly Tying at the Cheery Tree Inn in Stoke Row from 19:15 – 21:30.
Salmon Fly Tying Group
This week we will tie the Aurora Cascade Double – a great fly for spring on peat stained rivers in Scotland. It also looks good when tied on a Gold Treble hook.
The pattern is here. Any normal Salmon Double hook is OK.
I can lend material, so don’t worry if you are short of anything.
Don’t forget to bring your lamps!

British Fly Fair International (BFFI)
The BFFI is at Stafford County Showground on Sat 10 & Sun 11 Feb from 09:30 – 16:00 each day. Cost is £15 at the door or £13 in advance on Saturday and £2 cheaper on Sunday.
Do go – there are some worldclass fly tyers demonstrating.
