The last Thursday of the month approaches again.
We meet on Thursday 28th March at the Cherry Tree Inn in Stoke for a fly tying session from 19:15 - 21:30 as usual.

Trout Fly Tyers
Last week the trout in Farmoor reservoir were still deep down and, despite being full of large black and dark green buzzers, seemed to be only interested in pink snakes. Buzzers at different depths did not tempt them.
Despite that, with the warmer weather they will start following buzzers up - so I suggest you tie some up or tie up some emergers - Diawl Bachs, etc.
Surrey FDG Auction
I have heard that the Surrey Branch is planning an auction of Fly Tying and Fishing items in October 2024.and Date TBC.
Boat Seat
I am looking for a second-hand folding swivel boat seat - the sort that clamps to a wooden boat seat and swivels for loch fishing.
If any of you have one surplus or know of a source - please let me (Peter Watson) know!
