Fly Fishing Hayward's Farm Thursday 29th May

Six members turned up to fish Haywards Farm.Richard Ellis,Richard Bird,Richard Elbro,John KH,Roger Tribe and John A.

All fished the catch and release lake with the exception of Richard Tribe who was tasked with catching two trout for the freezer. He fished the catch and take and bagged his two trout.

The rest had a grim evening ,plenty of fly life and the occasional rise. However the fish did not want to play. The only fish caught on the catch and release was by that intrepid fly fisher Richard Bird who caught a lovely 6lb Brown Trout. Well done Richard.

Fishing was from 4pm until close at 8.30pm. We broke for beer and snacks at 6.30pm kindly provided by Richard Ellis and John KH,with sweet snacks provided by Roger.

The evening was pleasantly warm and we only had a little rain whilst we were packing away.
