It is with immense sadness that we have just got the terrible news, of the death of our dear friend and TVFDG member Paul Lawrence.
Paul had a massive heart attack at home last Friday and never recovered in hospital. It was not Covid-19.
Paul was a great supporter of our passion and was a regular fly dresser at The Irish Fly Fair and the BFFI. Paul will be greatly missed among the fly-fishing community. He was an excellent precise fly tier. Paul was a gentleman, he had a great love of music and fly fishing and fly dressing.
Paul was an excellent fly caster and a great companion when fishing. We will all remember the Fly Tying Demonstrations Paul gave at the Flower Pot and his splendid companionship on our Test and Dee Grayling expeditions. As well as a great fly dresser Paul was also a loving family man, he was very proud of Nicki his wife and both his children Dylan & Beth. Our deepest condolences and sympathies to his wife Nikki, son Dylan, daughter Beth and the wider family circle
