Grayling Test 29th December 2018

A mild day dawned for the last grayling trip of 2018 for Sean, Richard B, Richard E, Peter H and John A. The river was in good flow and with the weed having died back it was a case of heavy beads and moving around to find the fish. By lunchtime everyone had caught and a few fish had even been taken on the dry fly. The afternoon session was tougher as the wind got up which caused the temperature to drop. We ended the day with over 50 fish and a fine end to the season.

This trip was also Richard E’s last as grayling coordinator. A big thank you to Richard who for a decade has organised the Grayling trips. - a role that Sean will take over in 2019.
