Llangollen 2018

Six members ventured up to Llangollen on a Grayling Fishing weekend on the River Dee. Staying at the improved Hands Hotel in the centre of town. The party consisted of Peter W,Richard Elb, John M,John A ,Sean and Gary.

The weather over the weekend ranged from cold to warm with only a sprinkling of rain. Challenging decisions had to be made on each morning on how many layers of clothing were required to be comfortable.

Ideal wading of the river was experienced as river levels were lower than previous years.

All beats were circulated amongst the members. Fishing was not easy for some.One had to search hard  for the fish..

Peter W had a cracking weekend with 35 fish including one Sea Trout.

Evening meals were enjoyed at The Mill Restaurant on the bank of the Dee. All in all a most enjoyable weekend . Thanks again for Peter who organised the trip.
